Warranty questions, answered honestly

Warranty talk is where roofing companies get slippery. We'd rather be exact: here's how coverage really works around treatment, and what we can and can't promise.

Manufacturer warranties: the real picture

Shingle manufacturer warranties are strongest in their early years and narrow with age. Many prorate sharply after the first decade, and many aging roofs, the same roofs that are candidates for treatment, are already past the window where a surface treatment could change anything about their coverage.

That said, terms differ by brand and by product line. Whether treatment affects your coverage depends on your specific warranty's language. So we do the unglamorous thing:

  • Bring your warranty paperwork to the free assessment.
  • We read the terms with you before you decide anything.
  • If treatment and your coverage conflict, you'll know before a drop is sprayed.

What accountability looks like with us

New company, so we won't invent a decades-long guarantee we haven't earned yet. What you get instead is concrete: the owner does the work, documents it with photos, puts your job's terms in writing with the quote, and answers his own phone at 757-600-7334 if anything's not right.

Wondering what the treatment itself is backed by? SoyLei publishes its own product testing, summarized on the treatment page.

QUESTIONS

Common questions

Does treatment void a manufacturer shingle warranty?

It depends on the brand, the warranty's terms, and your roof's age. Many aging roofs are already outside their original coverage window, which changes the question entirely. Bring your paperwork to the assessment and we'll read it with you before any decision.

Does VRR offer its own guarantee?

We stand behind our workmanship, and we'd rather show you than sloganize: the owner is on every job, you get photos of everything, and problems get answered by the same person who did the work. Terms for your job are put in writing with your quote.
