Roof cleaning and prep
The treatment can only do its job on a clean, sound surface. Prep is the unglamorous half of rejuvenation, and it's where a careful crew shows.
What prep involves
- Leaves, branches, and debris cleared from the roof and valleys.
- Moss and heavy buildup removed gently, without tearing granules loose.
- Surface grime addressed so the treatment absorbs evenly instead of pooling.
- Loose or damaged spots flagged with photos before anything gets applied.
If prep uncovers a problem that should stop the job, the job stops. That's the inspection-first rule carried through to the last minute.
What we refuse to do
High-pressure washing strips granules and shortens roof life. Harsh chemical washes can do the same. We skip both. The goal of prep isn't a dramatic before photo. It's a surface that takes the treatment evenly so the shingles get the full benefit.

Common questions
Do you pressure wash the roof?
Not with high pressure. Blasting an asphalt roof strips the granules that protect it, which does the exact damage we're trying to prevent. We clean gently and only as much as the surface needs to absorb the treatment evenly.
Is cleaning included in the rejuvenation price?
Prep is one of the five factors in every quote, so it's priced with the job, not sprung on you later. A roof that needs little prep costs less. A mossy, debris-covered roof costs more. You'll see it in writing either way.
